Ask anyone who knows me at Bryant and he or she will tell you that I "bleed" our school colors (black and gold). I have always had a passion being involved in my community since high school and have stuck to that since I set foot here. Last June, I was an Orientation Leader for the class of 2016. I am a sister of the newest Greek chapter on campus, Alpha Omicron Pi. As a member of the Greek Panhellanic community, I am currently serving as this year's treasurer. In addition, I am a Resident Assistant for first-year and transfer students in Hall 16 this year. You can also find me giving tours, answering questions, or hosting prospective students as a Student Ambassador. I am a Student Blogger for Admissions and get to talk about my life at Bryant in weekly posts. My involvements at the university are not limited to what I have mentioned, but those are the positions that I take the most pride and joy in.
Outside of my involvements and academics, something that I miss is the ability to "give back" and serve others. Besides Greek philanthropy and annual events, there is not much that I have been able to provide for communities beyond the Bryant campus. Alternative Spring Break (ASB) 2013 allows me to "lend a hand" in Washington D.C. and fulfill this missing community service void that I have been having. I am so excited to be leaving on Sunday even if the car ride there is 7 hours long and we are leaving at 9 in the morning (earlier than my classes at Bryant).
I look forward to working with the three amazing organizations in the nation's capital, the rest of the ASB team, and keep you all posted with my adventures.
